Jordin Brianna Sparks (born on December 22, 1989 in Staten Island, New York) is an American singer. On May 23, 2007, she was declared the winner of the 2007 season of the reality television show American Idol. At 17, this makes her the youngest winner in American Idol history, as well as the first teenager to win.
